Our mission is to introduce powerful and new stories of Turkish cinema to New York's distinguished audience and international film professionals, and create a collaborative platform between the different communities.
Festival screenings take place of New York’s most respected cinema and cultural venues, in specially selected venues that meet international standards.
Turkish and American directors, actors, producers, and distributors come together on the same stage throughout the festival, fostering international collaborations.
In addition to film screenings, inspiring talks and panel discussions with cinema professionals are organized.
The Gala & Awards Ceremony is the highlight of the Turkish Film Festival of New York. Hosted at the SVA Theatre in Manhattan, the evening begins with a red carpet welcoming filmmakers, actors, and special guests, followed by an awards presentation celebrating excellence in Turkish cinema. The night concludes with a reception where guests gather to celebrate the artists and stories that define this year’s festival.
By making Turkish culture visible in New York, the festival establishes a lasting, strong, and meaningful cultural connection with the diaspora.
The Turkish Film Festival of New York celebrates the richness and creative spirit of Turkish cinema in the heart of New York City, bringing together filmmakers, actors, producers, and film lovers around a curated selection of features, documentaries, and shorts. Screenings, panels, and conversations offer American audiences a window into contemporary Turkish storytelling and give the Turkish diaspora a meaningful space to reconnect with shared stories and cultural roots. The festival culminates in a red-carpet evening and awards ceremony honoring outstanding achievements across Turkish cinema.
